Amara Clark, AMFT (she/her)
Hi, I’m Amara. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. As a Black American I understand how intergenerational trauma can impact mental health. Through recognizing and processing these generational wounds, I will support you in embodying your most authentic self regardless of age, race, sexuality, or gender identity. My work is grounded through an anti-oppressive and social justice lens. I acknowledge how trauma, stress, and societal pressures can shape your mental health and sense of self.
I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and identity-related stress. Integrating a somatic, relational, and culturally responsive approach, I strive to help you reconnect with your mind, body, and spirit. Through this process, I recognize and support your cultural and ancestral healing practices in cultivating greater harmony and connection with yourself and others.
In our sessions together I create a warm, judgement-free space where you can be your whole self and feel truly seen and supported. I will hold space for your most natural and validating expression of grief, joy, and anger. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more grounded, empowered, and confident in your identities.
